Primary responsibilities and duties include:

• Responsible for all the day to day activities, for international and domestic freight
• Tracking shipments and resolving issues.
• Execute shipments – secure loads with carriers, track service performance for pickup and delivery
• Negotiating favorable rates with carriers
• Scheduling and verifying loading and unloading appointments with shippers and receiving
• Entering shipment information into logistics software
• Operations process adherence; use personal judgment to satisfy customer expectations regarding pickup and delivery of product
• Provide exceptional customer service by developing good working relationships with the customers.
• Approve or deny accessorial charges to vendors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 1- 2 years working with an OTI (freight forwarder or NVOCC)
• Excellent communications skills - interpersonal, verbal, written, telephone
• Must be able to work effectively under pressure
• Customer service/interaction skills and experience.
• Organizational skills: ability to organize and prioritize workload and document/maintain a variety of records.
• PC/Computer skills
• Problem solving skills; ability to use creativity & good business judgment to make decisions.
• Flexibility to adapt to a fast paced & changing environment.
• High energy & persistence
